We will be performing a special guided meditation to help jump start your spring filled with planting new ideas and embracing new beginnings in your life. After the meditation we will be working on a giant crystal grid together to learn about crystal grid creation and how it can be a positive force in your life. Last we will continue with intuitive development and give readings to each other.

Feast for Goddess Brighid and Saint Brigid

This week, we celebrated the Feast of the Goddess Brighid and Saint Brigid. Saint Brigid is believed to be the incarnation of the Goddess Brighid. Both have been attributed with being patrons of higher spiritual activities, creativity, healing, art and keepers of the eternal flame. Some call the celebration day Imbolc for the return of the Ewe’s Milk in Ireland. This is the halfway point between winter and spring, a time when the darkness of winter is starting to lighten for spring to return. The celebration is a renewal of hope and faith that the light will return and with it the abundance that comes with spring. In the past, many did not have much sustenance for the winter months, the return of the ewe’s milk was an awesome addition to the diet that provided great relief. Many ways to celebrate and honor Goddess Brighid and Saint Brigid are to offer foods that are made with milk and cheese. Don and I baked a Tres Leches Cake for the first time. We added hazelnut and almond extract and it was delicious!
As part of our celebration, we set up an altar for Brighid and Mother Mary. Brighid is sometimes said to have carried on the work of nurturing the world from Mother Mary. There are many wonderful stories that can be found about Brighid and many of them seem to interweave between Druid, Celtic and Christian celebrations. We wanted to celebrate Brighid as she helps with healing, protection and keeps the eternal flame going.

We lit a candle for Brighid and then during the ritual we lit one for Mother Mary. From Mother Mary’s candle, we went on to each light a candle for ourselves and one for the angel, spirit guide or loved one that we wanted to communicate with during our Automatic Writing Practice. Even after our group members left, Donald and I let the candles burn until the wee hours of the night. It was interesting to watch to see which ones burned out first and which ones stayed on long after the event was over. The final candle burned out around 2AM. We figured that the person needed special love, healing and care and relighting of their inner flame.

Never underestimate the power of ritual in your life. Even the simplest ritual can have a profound effect on your spirit and a deeper connection to what is truly sacred in your life.

Below are the prayers that we used for our ritual. One I found on a website about Imbolc and felt it was a great little chant to use. The others, I wrote especially for our celebration.

We call upon the Goddess Brighid and Saint Brigid to be with us tonight. Please surround us in your eternal light of healing, protection and inspiration. We offer this bounty of food and wine for your celebration tonight. Please bless these offerings with healing, wisdom and hope for the renewal of spring so that we may be filled once more with the joy that springtime brings. We ask that you watch over us tonight and stay with us as we explore the sacred arts and expand our spiritual gifts. Bless each of us with wisdom and grace to raise our vibrations and reach to the realm of light for healing and communication of our highest and greatest good.

Automatic Writing Practice and Instructions

This week in our Spiritual Gathering group, I taught a lesson on Automatic Writing. I was pleasantly surprised that everyone was able to receive a message for themselves. I started the group off with a meditation for raising their vibrations and expanding their crown and third eye chakras to allow in more light and greater connection to Spirit. The meditation ended with a shielding to insure that each participant was well protected and the intention set that only those who are of their highest and greatest good would come through during the practice. Below are instructions on how to practice automatic writing if you would like to learn this wonderful method for receiving information and guidance from your higher self, spirit guides, angels and loved ones who have passed on.

Automatic writing can be a useful tool to get in touch with your higher self, angels, guides and other spirits. It can also open up a connection to things you don’t want to be connected to. It is important to set up your intention before starting any automatic writing or other method to get in contact with entities that are outside of yourself. The intention can be as simple as “I would like to only be in contact with God, my angels, spirit guides, loved ones and higher self and only receive the information that is for my highest and greatest good. I ask that I be protected from all that is not of my highest and greatest good.”

Sometimes it takes a lot of practice before you will get a result. Many tries are sometimes needed to be able to get the rhthym and feel of what it is like to connect with spirits this way. If you are trying to get into contact with a loved one who has passed on, it may help to focus on the picture of that person. Or remember the little details you remember of that person such as the things you knew about him or her when they were alive, what he ate, what he said, the music he listened to and the things he did. Try to bring back all of the feelings you have for your loved one and wrap them around you and around your heart until you feel a warm glow. It is easier if you have loving memories for your loved one and that is why you are trying to contact him. If not, it may be harder to get into contact though if you are working on forgiveness or letting go of strong emotions it may work to feel those emotions very intensely before you begin the automatic writing process.

Once you have gone through the above, write out your question or letter to your loved one or other entity you want to contact to start the conversation. It might help to say out loud – “Dear Loved One (whatever his name is) please come to me and help guide me today, I would like to speak with you and hear from you.” Then allow yourself to let go of all expectation, all worries about whether you will get a reply or not. Just let them fall from your mind and allow yourself to become silent and still.

The most important part of practicing automatic writing is the belief in yourself that you can do it. The moment that doubt sets in, you might as well stop and try again later because you will only block yourself. When I do an automatic writing session, I will take a few minutes or so to allow my mind and body to totally relax. This can be done through meditation, to let your mind clear and help you fall into an altered state of consciousness or trance. For automatic writing it doesn’t always have to be a very deep one, just enough that you are not standing in your own way.

If it helps, start to move your hand and pen across the paper in circles or in up and down motion, and as the words start to come to you in your mind or form on the page – just let them come. Do not worry if they make sense or try to read them. If you hear them in your mind, just write them down and do not doubt or worry about whether they are coming from you or from the spirit you are trying to work with.

For me, I hear the words in my head, as though the angels are talking to me. It is a voice different from my own and the words are different from how I would speak. But when I was first starting I used to be afraid that it was just me and then it would all stop. Whether I am imaging it is the angels or is just a different aspect of myself – the answers and messages I have received through automatic writing are some of the most heartfelt and loving words I have ever heard.

Some easy steps to follow for automatic writing are:

1. State your intention.

2. If you have a question you would like answered, write it at the top of the page. Otherwise write out the name of the entity or your higher self, etc. that you want to get in contact with.

3. Allow yourself to fall into a meditative state – where your mind is quiet, without thought or attachment to the outcome of the exercise. This may take some time and practice, but you can do it.

4. Begin moving your pen or pencil on the paper – sometimes in loops helps to get the ball rolling.

5. Just allow whatever words, symbols, drawings to come forth, do not doubt, criticize or try to understand them until you are finished with the writing.

6. Allow the pen to flow until you feel whatever answer is complete and the dialogue is finished.

7. Thank whoever you asked for coming forward to give you guidance and close out the writing session.

8. Take time to read through what has been given to you, at this time it would be wise to see if feels like truth, of your highest good, makes some sense, etc. If it does not feel like truth, be sure to discard it and let it go. Only hold onto what you feel in your heart is of your highest good.

Spirit Fest and Other Events

On Saturday, 17, 2009 from 10:00am – 5:00pm, we will be hosting a booth at the Center for Divine Light in Zephyrhills, Florida. They will be having a Grand Opening Spirit Fest that will feature many vendors, jazz bands, crystal bowls, and other fun distractions.  We will be offering healing sessions, readings and art at the Spirit Fest.  If you are located near Tampa, this would be a great opportunity for you to meet us and sample some of our amazing work.

This week we will begin working with the chakras and start off with a chakra balancing meditation. We will be hosting a healing circle in our home from 7-9pm every Thursday evening. Each week will focus on a different method of healing from prayer, laying on of hands, energetic healing including Vijarden and Reiki, crystal healing and discussion around
healing methods. Everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of religious background or experience, remember to bring a pen and notebook for capturing your experiences. Please call or email us for directions to our home.

Experience at Cassadaga Wellness Fair

Don and I had a wonderful time at the Cassadaga Wellness Fair.  We were so excited the night before we could hardly sleep, but we had to get to bed early as we would have to leave our home by 5:30AM to get to Cassadaga by 8AM to set up.  We set up our booth and waited for the fair to begin at 10AM.  At first we thought there wouldn’t be too many people attending the fair, but once it reach 11AM the camp was starting to fill up! 

 

From 11AM until 4PM, we were busy almost non-stop with just a few breaks throughout the day to catch out breath and eat a snack.  We offered 15-minute healing mini-sessions for those who would like to experience Vijarden and our healing methods.  About 15 or so people took us up on the offer and gladly hopped up on the table.  Many were surprised by how relaxed they felt, others were just beaming and glowing even after such a brief healing session.  Many didn’t quite understand that healing isn’t just for the physical problems you are having but it also helps provide a sense of total well-being and can help with emotional and mental issues that are causing them stress. 

 

We were located in the Colby Memorial Temple and that allowed us the opportunity to listen to each of the speakers as they spoke on various healing and spiritual development topics.  The last group was an older couple who performed on some quartz singing bowls.  That was a special treat, especially for the ones who were on our table receiving healing at that time.  The lucky few got to receive both energetic and sound healing at the same time. 

 

A few comments we heard from people who had received a mini-session were how we treated each person with honor and reverence, not only for their spirits but also their bodies.  Another comment was how they could feel the pull of positive energy coming from out booth and they just felt attracted to come find out what we were doing.

 

Cassadaga hopes to host more of the fairs in the future and wants to open up their Camp to allow more activity and growth. 

 

If you haven’t had a chance to experience healing before, we would love to share it with you.  A mini-session is a great way to sample healing.  We provide in-person and long-distance healing sessions, as it doesn’t matter if you are right here with us or we are sending to you as we talk on the phone.  Long-distance healing is able to happen because we are all connected and there is no time, space or distance that can block healing from God. 

 

Our current prices for healing sessions are: Mini-Session $20, Half-Session $40, Full-Session $80.  Don and I also provide intuitive readings for $40.  We understand that for many finances are tight right now, that is why we are going offering mini-sessions even when we are not at the fairs, as even though they are just a short amount of time, huge healing can happen if you are ready for it!

First Spiritual Gathering ~ 01.07.09

Tonight’s Spiritual Gathering for Self-Discovery was awesome!  We had a lovely group of people in our home tonight for the first part of “Mapping Out Your Journey.”  Everyone had some great journeys and took some good notes to help them record what they saw on their journeys and provide insight into their lives.  It will be wonderful next week to take those notes and turn them into a beautiful map for inspiration throughout the year.

Tomorrow night will be our first Healing Circle of the New Year, Don and I are really looking forward to it!  Healing nights are always filled with so much peace, bliss and balance.  Each night is always different and always wonderful. 

 

If you don’t live close to us here in Jacksonville but are close to Daytona Beach or Orlando, we will be down in Cassadaga, FL this Saturday for the Wellness Fair from 10-4pm.  There will be quite a few booths set up with people offering various healing and spiritual services.  Cassadaga will also be hosting quite a few workshops and tours, too!  So if you ever wanted to get a grand tour of the Camp, now is the time to do it!  We hope to see some of you at the Wellness Fair!

Upcoming Events for the New Year

We would like to wish you a very Happy New Year that is filled with hope, prosperity and abundance!  Are you ready to make some changes in your life but not quite sure where to start?  Maybe you are unsure where you really want your life to go? By looking at your past and visualizing for the future, you will be able to create a map to assist you in making positive changes and help guide your life.

 

Healing Incarnations would like to extend a special invitation to you for our Spiritual Gatherings (Wednesdays 7-9pm) and Healing Circles (Thursdays 7-9pm) that we host each week in our home.  We feel, like many, that the beginning of the New Year provides an increase of positive energy for the manifestation of goals and intentions for the coming year.  Beginning on Wednesday, January 7, we will be starting a series titled “Mapping Out Your Journey”.  This is a 3-part process that will include guided meditation, journaling, reflection and sharing, and the completion of sacred art and a ritual to help you manifest your heart’s desires for the New Year.  This process helps to find hidden blocks and fears that may be keeping you from achieving the goals you want to achieve and helps you to create a clear picture for taking action.  This will support your creation of a positive and true intention for the whole year and years to come.  If you cannot make all three nights, we can provide you with materials so you can still join us when you’re available.  We suggest a $5-10 love offering for each night attended.

 

On Thursdays, we offer a healing circle to help clear away the stresses of life.  When people gather together to share positive and uplifting energy amazing things can happen. People are enveloped in love and support to they can fully release the negative aspects of life and step into a sacred space of peace and love.  Please join us in our healing circle and lend your own positive energy to the circle and to the world.  When we share love and peace with each other in a small way it spirals out into the world promoting love and peace for everyone. We suggest a $5-10 love offering for each night attended.
