Angel Card Reading for March 31, 2011

Remember who you are and embrace the love that surrounds you in every moment of every day.

Earth Angel – You are a lightworker who has come to Earth to teach about love.  Do you consider yourself a lightworker?  If you are reading this message, you are probably a lightworker.  Allow your heart to open to possibilities beyond your current job or life situation and realize that you have an amazing love and gifts to share with others.  Do not be afraid to share your soul with the world.

Shield Yourself – Protect yourself from harsh or fear-based energies by envisioning a cocoon of healing light surrounding you.  Remember to shield yourself every morning and before you go to bed at night.  Surround yourself in a golden white light that will allow in only that which is of your highest and greatest good and allow out only the highest vibrations of love and light.  If you would like to learn about shielding, please contact us.

Archangel Raphael – Arch Angel Raphael comes forward to offer you healing at this time.  Be wrapped in his wings of love, healing and peace.  Let yourself be free of pain, discomfort and troubling emotions.  May Arch Angel Raphael’s wings of love provide a safe haven when life gets too stressful and remind you that you are loved unconditionally just for being you.

Mercury Retrograde begins today, March 30 and will continue through April 23, 2011 with final release from the effect on May 11, 2011.  Mercury Retrograde can be a great time to release old habits, heal old relationships and let go of old hurts.  However, if you fight the energies, it can be a frustrating time of technical difficulties, miscommunication and challenging relationships and planning troubles.  Often during retrograde, people who you haven’t talked to in years will come out of the woodwork, old relationships that need to be resolved step forward.  Do not allow ‘what ifs’ to cloud your judgement, enjoy the time that you have with them during retrograde, but realize that they will be gone just as soon as retrograde is over and you will have to reclaim the life that you were trying to escape from with new consequences to be paid!

With this retrograde period being in Aries, people who have Aries as their sun sign or part of their natal chart may be particularly affected.  Aries brings the following lessons to this retrograde period: learning to put yourself first, standing with your truth and taking charge of your life with firey creative passion.

Kerry and I pulled 3 cards for this Mercury Retrograde Period:

1. Four of Pentacles

The Four of Pentacles brings with it the lesson to reflect on what you need to let go of and what you need to balance in order to bring your physical affairs back into order.  With Mercury Retrograde, it is about bringing both your spiritual life and physical life into harmony.  Neither side should be pulling you off balance.  Allow the beneficial energies of this period to assist you in letting go of what keeps you from having a firm foundation in your life.  Although you may dream of your castle in the sky, you have to build the ladder to take you from the ground to the sky.  Take time to build your wealth, security and be grounded to the earth.

2. King of Swords

The King of Swords will assist you in discerning the truth in situations that you face during this period.  Be honest with yourself, what have you been thinking about yourself or others that isn’t true or an outright lie?  Are you really seeing all sides of a situation or are you jumping to conclusions?  Mercury Retrograde often causes people to jump to conclusions because communications are so troubled.  Don’t jump to a conclusion that isn’t true during this time period.  Allow yourself time to breath, sort out the situation and remember the truth of who you are and the person you may be about to have a fight with.  The King of Swords will help you cut through the fog to see the truth and save you from making a fool of yourself.

3. Eight of Wands

The Eight of Wands will help you to accomplish your goals during this time period with speed and efficiency.  Often Mercury Retrograde will create obstacles in your way, allow the Eight of Wands to assist you in finding creative solutions to those problems.  If there is so much going on, be sure to take a break.  Use this time to streamline all areas of your life.  Take time to be aware of the synchronicities that could be showing up in your path with people from your past.  Perhaps there is an opportunity for healing, business or an old goal that could be achieved by talking with a friend from the past.  Do not allow pride or ego to keep you from speaking with an old friend simply because you became too busy to talk with them regularly.  Pick up the phone and make that connection.  Eight of Wands will help you to travel with ease, start up new projects and receive positive news during this retrograde period when it would otherwise be difficult.

Winter’s Dark Night

Many people seem to be experiencing great shifts and changes this winter.  They seem even more extreme than usual.  The vibrations surrounding the Earth right now are very chaotic, they are filled with revolution, freedom and breaking away from patterns of behavior.  This energy can seem extremely disturbing and downright irritating as it brings to the surface old fears, doubts, anger, rage, sorrow, grief and despair.  Work with the energy by claiming the light within your heart and soul.  Remember that the light shines into the darkness and does not fear what it sees in the shadows. You have more power to claim this energy and use it to build your dreams than to cower in fear from the velocity of the energy.

The dark night of the soul waits for no one to place a date on the calendar to deal with it.  The dark night comes when the soul is ready to see into the deepest, darkest depths and come out as a shining light, braver, stronger and bolder than before.

Cave of Despair and Grief

Cave of Despair and Grief

This winter provides a great time to experience the dark night of the soul.  Winter is the time to reflect, review and release all of the past year and often times, years of pain, mistakes and regrets.  This winter seems to have taken the darkness to a whole new level.  With weather extremes and energetic vibrational extremes forcing many of us to take refuge and hide away.

Go with the natural flow of the season.  Take time to relax, give yourself the freedom to review your life without prejudice or criticism.  It is ok to have made mistakes and it is ok to forgive yourself and others for pain that has been caused in your life.  Let go of the pain, release the regrets and reclaim your power.

If you feel as though you are overwhelmed by the darkness of the season, make sure to keep light around you.  Light candles, turn on the xmas lights if they are still up and replace light bulbs with full-spectrum light that will reflect the sun.

Be gentle with yourself and take time to nurture your soul at this time.  Plan activities that will boost your spirit, feed your soul and renew your energies.  Surround yourself with friends and family who support you and let go of those that don’t.

Winter can be difficult, but it doesn’t have to drag you down to the depths of despair.  You will survive the winter, allow this time of reflection to help you clear the path to a brighter spring.  Reflect on new goals, new ideas and new creations to birth this spring.  What do you want to plant?

In order to plant anything, you will have to let the ground rest and regain the vital nutrients the soil needs to allow any new life to grow.  Nourish the soil of your soul’s garden.  Clear away the debris that will threaten the new growth and weed out all that zaps your garden of vitality.   Allow yourself to sit in the mud, let it soak into your pores and cleanse away the toxins that have built up.  You will feel so much better when you are done and wash it all away in the rain.

Fucking Perfect to Me

I saw the video the other day for Pink’s new song Fucking Perfect.  Some of the lyrics really tapped into part of my psyche and reminded me of how much pain people are feeling.  That we are built in such a complex way, our minds can be filled with so many traps to drag us down into darkness, depression and despair.  Many times these thoughts stem from childhood where we were beat down, broken down and made to feel less than the magnificent masterpieces that we are.  We are each a masterpiece, miracle creation that is waiting to shine the special light that is inside.  Don’t allow fear from childhood or stress from life keep you from being who you came to the Earth to be.  You are more than the darkest thought or fear that hides in the depths of your mind and the doubt that hides in your heart of hearts.

 ”You’re so mean

When you talk

About yourself, you were wrong

Change the voices in your head

Make them like you instead”

Change the voices and thoughts in your head that say you aren’t good enough, you aren’t strong enough or you aren’t pretty enough.  Whatever it is, there is never ‘enough’ to make you perfect.  YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE PERFECT – BE YOU! Be who you came here to be.  Be proud of who you came to the Earth to be.

Who you are is enough, just as you are right now.  Every time a negative thought or fear pops into your mind, cancel and delete it.  Replace that thought with one that affirms your beauty, intelligence, charm, love, kindness, generosity, creativity…the list is endless.  The negative back talk is so limited, don’t get trapped in the cave of darkness simply because it is comfortable.  Be brave and enter into the light, enter into the world with the faith that who you are is enough just as you are.

If you need help with affirmations or letting go of negative thoughts, please contact me.  I would be more than happy to help  you heal and release negative thoughts that keep you trapped in pain, hurt and fear.

I realize that for some of my readers that this video may be triggering, especially the images of suicide.  Please if you need help, support or feel triggered, reach out for help.  If you are triggered by images of suicide, I would recommend not watching the video.

Suicide Prevention

Over the course of my life, I have encountered many friends and individuals who are at the point of suicide.  Whether they are just about to or are just starting to think about it due to hopelessness or feeling trapped having no way out of a situation.  There are so many hurting people in this world.  It is so sad to think about even one that thinks suicide is the only way out of a desperate situation.   I have a strong passion for helping people to find hope, their light, their path because it helps lead them back from the brink of death to life, filled with joy, hope, love, laughter and light.  Within each of us, no matter how dark we feel our lives have become, there is place filled with light that will  never go out!

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.  Together each of us can make it through the hardest, darkest, most difficult nights.  In order to do that, we must reach out, move beyond our comfort zones and seek out people who are alone or appear sad, lonely, troubled.  To put it simply – actually care about other people who we encounter on a daily basis.  If you do nothing, who will help?

Affirmations for Autumn 2010

Autumn provides a wonderful opportunity to both receive abundance and release negativity.  Use the natural ebb and flow of the season to give your spiritual life a boost and prepare for the coming dark reflective days of winter.  Each week between now and December 21st, use a different affirmation to help you transition to winter.

Keywords for meditation: abundance, prosperity, release, harmony, balance, peace and gratitude.

Living Your True Purpose

Often as we go about our spiritual path, it can be hard to truly live your life’s purpose.  Many times it may feel hard to follow your path when real life situations challenge or block your way.  These challenges pop up to help you understand your life’s true purpose in a deeper way.  Challenges do not mean you have fallen off of your path or that you aren’t living your life’s true purpose.  Challenges suggest that you are being tested, strengthened and experiencing something new and different.  It is important during stressful times to take a moment to breathe and reflect on your life.

It might help you to ponder the below questions as you reflect on your life’s true divine purpose.  Answer from your heart and spirit.  These answers should come easily and not forced.  Be honest with yourself.

  •  What is my true purpose?
  •  Am I having trouble fulfilling my life’s purpose right now?
  • What is blocking me from walking my life’s path?

When making decisions in challenging situations ask yourself:

  •  Which way brings me closer to my divine purpose?
  • Which way takes me away from it?

Ways to boost your spirit and actively achieve your life’s purpose:

  •  What am I doing each day to fulfill my true purpose?
  • What am I doing each day that takes me away from my divine purpose?
  • What feeds my spirit and makes my heart sing?
  • How can I create time in a busy schedule that allows me to do things I love?

Take time each day to do something that boosts your spirit.  Each day you can take a small step towards your life purpose.  Even if you feel your current job or life situation is not matching up with your divine purpose, you can still take small steps each day to balance your life.

Some steps you can take each day are:

  •  Write out your life’s purpose
  • Define what it means to be on your path
  • Meditate
  • Exercise
  • Seek support from like-minded friends
  • Network with others who do what you want to do
  • Find a mentor to help guide you on your path

Create a Spark

Spark of Light

Spark of Light

Many times everyday life takes us away from our passions and true purpose in life. Sometimes everyday responsibilities and assumptions keep us from truly embracing the joy that living our passion and purpose could bring us.

  • What would your life look like if you were fanning the flames of your passion?
  • How would your life be different than it is now?
  • What would you do?
  • What would you say?
  • What would people think of you following your purpose and passion?

Shine your light so the whole world can see it. Shine it bright so that the entire universe can see you sparkling like the beautiful soul that you are! Create a spark in your heart that will transform your life by taking steps to find your passion and purpose and actively seek out ways to participate or create your passion in every day life. It only takes a spark for a fire to blaze in your heart!

If you need help discovering your purpose or finding your passion, please feel free to contact me.  I would be happy to help!

Currently in my life, I am going through a period where I need to review and reclaim positive choices for myself and my life as it feels like I have led myself astray from where my spirit wants to go just to maintain security and stability. Security and stability in life are important but they do not take the place of following your true purpose or living the life you desire to live.

Many times when life is particularly challenging it can seem downright difficult or even impossible to make a choice and even harder to know if the choice you are about to make is the right one. Right now I am reminding myself that it is ok to stop, take a breath and remember that there are infinite possibilities. Though to be open to the expanse of infinite possibilites, I have to return to a state of peace and love within myself and let go of the chaos that fear and stress can create in my mind and spirit.

In times of change, stress and fear often step in to take over for peace and love. When that happens, inspiration, encouragement and divine guidance often feel blocked or not even available. Take time to return to a place of peace so that you can open up to receive the divine guidance, wisdom and clarity that are waiting for you to make positive choices for your life. Perhaps this article will help you to also see that there are infinite possibilities and limitless choices that you can make that are of your highest good.

One way to live a better life is to make better choices for your life.  These choices are not only about choosing to eat better or exercise more.  These choices are about treating yourself better, accepting that you may want something different out of life than other people want for you, or choosing to express how you feel no matter how other people will respond.    Are you making choices that make your heart sing? Are you making choices in y … Read More

The Beauty Within

Where does the idea that you are not beautiful come from?

Where does the idea that you are not good enough come from?

Where does the idea that you are ugly, stupid, worthless come from?

So many of the negative thoughts that replay in our head stem from words we heard as children and were not even created by us.  As children, we hear everyone else’s opinion of who and what we are and take that to form our identity.  This identity isn’t always true or even accurate of who we really are.  Sometimes parents, friends, teachers and others around us say some of the most awful things that as children become planted like seeds and instead of growing into beautiful flowers of self confidence and inner strength, they fester and grow into life draining weeds.  We can stop the weeds from growing and draining our self worth and stop the havoc of what was planted so we can create a garden of beauty within us.

Take the time this week to really look at the inner thoughts and dialogue you have with yourself.  What thoughts replay over in your head, what thoughts are hurting you and causing you pain?  When you look at yourself in the mirror – do you immediately turn away or say something negative to yourself?  Look for where this idea came from, did it truly come from yourself in that present moment or are you merely repeating a cycle of thought that you have had for too many years?  These thoughts have no real basis in your life and aren’t true.

For each negative thought, replace it with a positive thought about yourself.  If you think to yourself, I am too fat and I can never lose weight.  You are right – you will continue to be too fat and never lose weight.  But if in that moment when you think ‘I am too fat’ immediately replace it with “I am beautiful and becoming healthier every day.” you will be retraining yourself to succeed.  Each negative thought you have is written on your heart a hundred times, making it harder for you to believe in yourself and transform yourself into who you truly want to be.  It is harder to clear away the negative thoughts because they multiply like weeds in the garden, but one positive and powerful thought can stand over them all like a beautiful rose.

These thoughts extend past weight and beauty to every aspect of our lives.  As children, we soak them up like sponges.  Some of us were lucky to be told positive and uplifting messages, but even the smallest and most meaningless negative thought can sit hidden and block us from embracing all that we are.  A child told that she is stupid and will never amount to anything is just as damaging as being told she is ugly and fat.  Or being told by those around you that you can’t do something, you aren’t good enough or strong enough to live your dreams or accomplish all that you dream of doing.  The only one who can truly limit yourself and the possibilities you have for your life is you. You don’t have to keep believing what others say or think, you can stand tall and know you can do anything you choose to do.  Believe in yourself and there is nothing that can stop you from doing what your heart desires!

Some activities you can do to help erase the negative thoughts and start to think about yourself with powerful and positive thoughts are below.  I hope they help you to begin your journey to a positive and healthy new attitude about yourself and your life.

·                     Look in the mirror, and really look at yourself.  Take the time to see yourself and not just glance at your appearance.  What thoughts pop into your head as you look yourself over?  Are they positive or negative?  As negative thoughts pop up – consider why you think them.  For each negative thought about yourself, come up with a positive thought or a way to improve yourself so you don’t think so negatively about yourself.  Next really look yourself in your eyes and say “I Love You.”

·                     Every morning as you get ready for your day, say one positive affirmation about yourself.  To help you remember, post it on your mirror so every time you look in the mirror you will see this awesome thought about yourself.

·                     Compliment others – each day compliment someone on something different.  Maybe you have to find something positive about them if you always like them; this just makes it more of a challenge.  As you are less critical of others, you will become less critical of yourself.  This will help you find more positive aspects of yourself!

·                     Pamper yourself – take time to renew your spirit and feel your body at rest.  Take a long bath with some sea salts and light some candles.  Let yourself take a luxurious nap in the sun on a beautiful afternoon.

·                     Treat yourself to a new haircut, manicure or outfit.  Even the smallest treat can boost your spirits and self esteem.

·                     Take a walk in the woods, by the lake or in a garden.  Look at the beauty in everything you walk by, really discover all the beauty in the world around you.  Think of something that you don’t think is beautiful, something you think is ugly and try to find the beauty in it.  Sometimes we think bugs are ugly and gross, but if you really look at how they are created, the detail and texture of their bodies, you may be able to find the beauty even in bugs.  If you can look at what you once considered to be gross and ugly in something else, how can you not look at yourself and see the beauty of all that you are?  If you still cannot think of yourself as beautiful, figure out why you can’t and find ways to change those thoughts.

·                     Write down all of the positive and negative thoughts you think about yourself and your life.  If you count more negative thoughts than positive thoughts, find ways to increase the positive thoughts.  Talk to friends, family members, clergy and others to see if someone who has a different perspective on you may think about you in a better way than you think about yourself.

·                     Think of 3 beautiful thoughts to say about yourself.  Write them down each day and say them to yourself every time you see yourself in the mirror.  Also say them every morning and every night before you go to bed.  These thoughts can be powerful affirmations to help change your life if you choose to create a new positive thought to replace a long held negative idea about yourself.  For example, this thought “I can never lose weight, I always fail.” can be replaced with “Every day I am losing weight and will succeed at my goals.”

·                     Every time you have a negative thought about yourself or your life, imagine a chalkboard and strike the negative thought out with chalk.  Write a new positive thought over the negative one, clearing it out of your heart and memory.

Cloak yourself in the stars,

let the sun and moon beams flow down your hair.

Stand tall knowing that you are a child of light,

filled with all of the hope and promise

that dawns every morning.

Take your inner beauty and wisdom

and let it gracefully flow from you

 to all you encounter today,

for your light is special and shines brighter

every time it is shared with another.
