Worship Wednesday 04.29.09

Today, I am featuring a song by John Waller called Worship While I’m Waiting. It became a favorite of mine when I saw a prescreening of Fireproof the Movie. Right now, it seems to fit in with my life on a great level with the move to Florida and starting up our new life. While I may want things to move faster and not have a lot of patience, I can step back and worship God while I am waiting and continue to serve Him until the divine timing is right. Everything happens in the exact time and moment it is meant to and there is no pushing time forward or holding time back. This song helps me to remember that and regain a center of peace, faith and patience that all will be well.

With the move to Florida, it seems like each step is given one at a time. In the past I lacked the faith to move forward without knowing the end result and each step in the journey. Right now it is being stressed to me that it is important to have faith and fulfill each step as it comes without worrying what the next step is or what the end result will be. This current journey has been amazing in the various ways that God is teaching and raising me up higher and higher, in ways I had never knew possible. Releasing the control to God to create the perfect outcome and trusting that I will hear and follow the divine guidance provided is difficult. Sometimes it feels like it would be so much easier to try to force things to happen on my timeline but then I remember that when I do that it is never has the result that I wanted to is of my highest good.

Let go of the fear of releasing control of your journey to God. You co-create your life with God, let the infinite creator remove the stumbling blocks from your journey and reveal the deeper meaning of where you are going so you can achieve a higher purpose for your life. Your life has meaning, let yourself embrace it with both hands, heart and soul. May God bless your journey and lead you to grow in love, joy and wisdom.

Words of Wisdom –

We are made wise not by the recollection of our past, but by the responsibility for our future. – George Bernard Shaw

Take responsibility for your life and you will receive great power to create an amazing life journey filled with passion, power & peace! Taking responsibility means you are the one creating your life and you hold yourself accountable for your success and for your failures. Don’t let yourself give away your power to outside influences by blaming others for what happens in your life. Claim the power to be a positive force in your life and proactive about what happens in it!

Song for Celebration-

Happy Earth Day! May the blessings and abundance on the Earth touch your heart and soul today. Show the Earth your gratitude for being your home by lifting your voice in song, planting beautiful flowers or trees and taking in the wonder and beauty that surrounds you.

In Wonder by Newsboys

With 2009 being a 11/2 year according to numerology, I thought that it would be nice to see what the Tarot cards would be that correspond with 11 and 2 from the Major Arcana. In the MotherPeace Tarot Dec, the 11 card is Strength and the 2 card is the High Priestess. Below are interpretations for the cards as they relate to you and 2009.

Tarot Card 11 – Strength = Spiritual Power

The card features a woman who is able to tame the wild animals and call them to her with spiritual power and light. In the background is the Tree of Life with a calf and lion seated beneath it. While we may often think of Strength as being a purely physical aspect of ourselves, the Strength that will be required in 2009 is spiritual strength. Spiritual strength is having powerful faith, hope and trust not only in yourself but in humanity and God (however you define Divinity). Spiritual strength is rising above the physical fears and insecurity in the world around you and creating a new outcome for yourself that doesn’t rely on what others are doing or on their reaction to your life. 2008 was filled with horrible events and disasters on almost every aspect of physical life that touched almost every person whether it was due to natural disasters or man-made ruin. Out of the ashes of last year, let yourself rise with the strength hidden within the fire of the Phoenix. Call upon your own hidden strength to take on the challenge of this New Year that you can live a life you love on your own terms and be happy.

Tarot Card 2 – High Priestess = Spiritual Wisdom

This card features a High Priestess who is open and vulnerable to the world around her. She sits with her arms open and palms up to receive all that comes to her, knowing that she allows only that which is of her highest and greatest good to come to her. The High Priestess symbolizes the inner wisdom that we all can tap into and using it for the creation of our lives. This will be a year filled with the exploration of our inner selves by tapping into our intuition and further development of our spiritual gifts. The High Priestess waits to welcome you within and share with you the wisdom she has learned throughout her life. Are you ready to journey within yourself and find your true self, your true purpose? This year will provide the right energies to assist and support you in searching within yourself to find out who you really are and use that knowledge to gain spiritual power and strength. Spiritual Power and Spiritual Wisdom go hand and hand, to have one you must have the other. Call upon your inner strength to help give you the courage you need to see who you really are and accept what your life as it is and the courage to change what you feel you are ready to change. 2009 certainly will be an amazing year if our spiritual aspects are tapped into and love rather than fear is allowed to reign over our lives this year.

Card of Day ~ 12.29.08

Today’s card

Tarot Card from the MotherPeace Deck– 16 – Tower

The Tower Card is one of spiritual awakening and illumination of the true self.  It is a card that challenges one to leave behind the false sense of self and let go of the pain that has been found during life’s journey.  If the challenge is accepted, one will go on to rise to the top of the tower with an unconditional love for self and others, secure and confident in one’s own truth and purpose.  If the challenge is not accepted, one could very well be trapped within the tower watching the sun go by and catching glimpses of one’s true self.  While the challenge may be difficult and not without confusion, the inability to rise to the challenge can cause severe depression and a sense of powerlessness to see beyond the small window one has created for herself.  The Tower card can be seen as a destructive and violent card, as it means that one’s life is going to change dramatically.  The old life will be burnt away and it is too soon to tell what or if the new life will emerge from the ashes.

Today’s Words of Wisdom –

Isaiah 6:5-8 (New International Version)

5- “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty.”

6- Then one of the seraphs flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. 7- With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”

8 -Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”

And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

The above passage leads into one of my favorite hymns, “Here I am Lord”. I remember singing that hymn often in my childhood and feeling a call from God to do something more with my life and help soften the hard hearts of others in pain. Whenever I would sing the hymn, I could feel God opening my heart and sewing seeds of love and longing to help others to heal, to help bring God’s mercy and compassion to them so they would not have to be in so much pain. We each have a special purpose for our lives, a purpose that God calls out to you in a soft voice, saying “Whom shall I send? Who will do this special purpose for me?” Each of us on Earth has a special purpose, a unique quality that is all our own to help bring about love, peace and harmony for all of God’s creation. Let your heart be softened, let your mind be still and allow yourself to hear what God is saying to you, the small whisper of how you are good enough to do the work God has laid out for you. When you do the work God asks of you, you are never left alone. God will help guide you and provide a way for you to fulfill His request successfully. Remember, with God there is no failure, for He knows what you are capable of and has seen the results of the path you are taking and what you are creating for Him. So be not afraid, God goes before you always, lighting the way and filling your path with love.

Card of Day ~ 12.27.08

Each day I choose a Tarot card to meditate on and learn more about its meaning.  Many times it provides a good focus for the day and a little bit of guidance.  Although people may use Tarot cards for any number of purposes, I use the Tarot for divination and meditation.  It is a great tool for looking within yourself to find answers that you may not have fully realized and to see if any divine guidance comes to you as you meditate.

Tarot Card from the MotherPeace Deck– 21 – World/Universe

This card represents a connection with All That IS.   It is a reminder that we are all one.  That life is a dance together that can be filled with harmony.  There is light to shine the way and the ability to share who I am with the world and not be afraid.  I should allow myself to dance and play with the world and create a place filled with peace and love.  The universe is a dance of energies, a moment to allow the creative forces of God to move through us and into the world.  This card signifies that the personality is no longer hidden or blinded from sight and isn’t any confusion over what isn’t real or truly a part of me.  It is a true liberation to be free to express oneself as an individual and as part of a whole.

Words of Wisdom ~12.27.08

Today’s Words of Wisdom –

John 11:21-26 (New International Version)

21“Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died.

22But I know that even now God will give you whatever you ask.”

23Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

24Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”

25Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; 26and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

The part of these verses that jumps out to me is where Martha said “If you had been here…” How many times do we say that to God?  “If you had only been with me…”, “If you had answered this prayer…”, “If you would only…” then we would have the outcome that we choose rather than the outcome God chooses.

At moments in our lives, it may seem that God arrives too late to help, too late to change the outcome or too late to simply be with us.  It may seem that God just forgot and didn’t bother to call and say He wasn’t going to be with you that day.

But, as we go onto read the rest of the verse, it reminds us that we need to have faith and believe that God will be with us and that He has already provided us with an eternal answer to our prayers.  We live in God, God lives in us.  We need to have faith that God is always there.  One needs to ask God for help to be able to receive it.  There is nothing that God will not help you with if you ask and it is of your highest good.

God is always walking by our side, though we may not always feel or hear God’s presence.  We need to strengthen our faith so we can accept the love and promise that God will always be with us and uphold His promise as long as we keep our promise to always walk with Him.  Walking with God is walking with an open heart and a willingness to follow where God leads.

If you have trouble seeing and hearing God around you, listen and sing along with the following song.  Open the Eyes of My Heart by Paul Baloche is a wonderful song to help you open your heart and allow the connection between you and God to grow.
